Hervey Bay

This coastal city in Queensland has long been a holiday destination for families, but it still manages to fly under the radar.

It’s one of the best places to visit during whale-watching season for a winter escape, as ample boat services are operating between July to November that will take you out on the azure waters on your quest.

Aside from spotting gentle giants, you can stroll the Urangan Pier, take a day trip to Lady Elliott Island, go diving and so much more.
