Where to Find Coffee After 3pm in Brisbane

In need of a pick-me-up? Finding coffee in Brisbane after 3pm is notoriously difficult… but not anymore!

Picture this… It’s a weekday afternoon, and 3:30itis is in full-swing. Or perhaps you’ve just woken up and are struggling to get ready for your night shift. It could even be a Saturday afternoon, and you’re trying to pep yourself up for a night out with the girls.

We know you know the feeling, and sometimes the only way to banish it is the pure strength, flavour and joy of a coffee that you didn’t have to make for yourself. But that coffee is not always so easy to find.

Not anymore! If it’s coffee after 3pm in Brisbane you’re seeking, here’s where to find it around town.

Death Before Decaf

If you’re frustrated by the lack of coffee spots open past 3pm in Brisbane, you’ll be pleased to know you can stop by DBD at any hour for a quality brew. Literally any hour — because they’re open 24/7.

Hot coffee, hard music. This is the mantra behind this Fortitude Valley coffee shop. Built by Carl and Nicola, a couple with a passion for coffee, tattoos and heavy music, Death Before Decaf is unlike any other cafe in Brisbane. They’ve even perfected their very own hardcore coffee bean blend after years of dedication and experimentation. No notes!

Bellissimo

What began as three mates roasting coffee on a whim has turned into three locations and a cult-like following. Bellissimo Coffee is a friendly and welcoming cafe to pop into for a coffee that starts your engine at any time of day.

The Fortitude Valley location is your safest bet for an after-hours brew on weekdays, with a closing time of 6pm, while Bulimba offers a ‘6am til late’ shift every day, so perhaps phone ahead to make sure the coffee machine is still on.

Multiple locations

Mourning Roast

Mourning your sleep-in? We hear misery loves company, so head down to Mourning Roast to put a smile back on your dial.

Founded by partners in life, love and business, Sam and Nadine infused their passion for creating a unique space for the community to come together and share in the morning ritual of coffee.

The house signature blend is a dark-roasted coffee that delivers intense, strong character with notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar, and toasted almonds, the perfect wake-up call for those sleepy morning commutes.

And for the night shift workers or anyone seeking an evening pick-me-up, you can visit this cafe in Stones Corner any time between 4am and 11pm, seven days a week. That’s pretty phenomenal, in our books.
