Persone take their sweets seriously, which is why we think they’ve got the best dessert in Brisbane. With six decadent dolce options on their menu, it’s close to impossible to select a favourite. We’re giving special mention to the cannoli filled with Frangelico custard and hazelnut praline, as well as the chocolate magnum, served with vanilla semifreddo with salted caramel.

For an unforgettable foodie experience, Baja Mexican serves up authentic and flavourful bites designed to be enjoyed with friends. However, you may not be so willing to share this dessert that’s bound to leave a lasting impression. The team are plating up Bunuelos for dessert this season; tasty fried dough bites in cinnamon chilli sugar, served with soy milk and coconut caramel cream, chocolate mousse and stone fruit. This dessert dish is far too good to share, trust us!

Boom Boom Room
For a dessert that sounds like something that belongs in your jewellery box, head into the city and underground into the moody ambience of the Boom Boom Room. This restaurant has a curated dessert menu with small plates, cocktails and aperitifs, but it’s the Nitro Frozen Miso Chocolate Mousse that takes centre stage here! Boom Boom Room has a flair for the dramatic (we sense they’re keen to hold the official title for the best dessert in Brisbane), and that flair is not lost on this entertaining dish that sends a vapour pouring over the edges of the bowl as it freezes from nitrogen. Make sure you’ve got your phone at the ready when this dish comes to the table!

The Ze Pickle gang are well known for their next-level flavour combinations and mouthwatering concoctions, so why should dessert be any different? Their Twix Tacos are well known for decadence, with the deep-fried chocolate bars safely ensconced in a soft red velvet pancake taco, served with ice cream, brownie salsa and a shaved Milky Bar. There’s more to this dessert menu and it doesn’t get any less extravagant, so don’t fill up on burgers!
Le Bon Choix
The masters of their craft, Le Bon Choix create little works of art that melt in your mouth and will have you coming back for more. Their famed macarons are worth travelling for, not to mention the pain au chocolat! We tried to select their most iconic dessert, but we’d rather you visit them and sampled them all for yourself… they’re that good.
Small batch, slow rise and hand-rolled, the Doughluxe experience is unlike any other! Whether it’s a special occasion or you’re just celebrating surviving Monday, these delightful doughnuts are a scrumptious (and social media post-worthy) way to indulge.

The Pawpaw Cafe team are certainly no novices when it comes to plating up spectacular seasonal dishes, so when their new menu launched we couldn’t wait to explore the delectable new additions! We’ll be making their Lemon Meringue French Toast our next Sunday brunch breakfast treat. It’s served with vanilla French toast, soft meringue, lemon sorbet, lemon tea curd, jasmine tea mousse and berry crumb… what a dream. They also serve those delicious toppings in a cannoli, if you prefer to start on a savoury breakfast and end on a dessert.
