Bars with Games
KHOU Cellar and Wine Bar
Terrazzo, marble, mood lighting and a wine list serious enough to make you forget you’re about to lose at Uno — KHOU is a chic Kent Town wine bar that knows how to have fun. Pull up a seat indoors or out, grab a blanket, and wait for the house rules debate to inevitably derail everything. Games come out from 4pm, Negronis are always on, and whether it’s Connect Four, Jenga or Uno, things get surprisingly competitive surprisingly fast. The collection is always growing — chess, trivia and charades are the latest additions — and on Wednesdays and Thursdays, vinyl spins in the background (bring your own records, they love it). Feel free to bring your own games too, just know a +4 is coming for you either way.
65 King William Street, Kent Town
Nauti Buoy
Beachside by day, surprisingly competitive by night. Nauti Buoy runs fortnightly quiz nights and monthly Uno tournaments out of its Henley Beach home — and both are exactly as unhinged as they sound. The quiz is written in-house every time (40 questions, two mystery mini games), and the Uno tournaments operate on an everyone-plays-everyone basis that starts chaotic and ends with new friends, new enemies, and one very smug champion walking away with a custom belt and a $200 voucher. Karaoke, Monopoly Deal, Mario Kart — if there’s demand, they’re in. Keep an eye on their Instagram for upcoming dates.

Trivia Nights in Adelaide
alt. Wine Bar
alt. was already one of the better reasons to spend a Monday on King William Road. Add the fact that it’s first in line for The Weekly Fifty’s questions each week — kicking off at 6.30pm with food specials, drink deals and prizes — and it’s one of Adelaide’s best wine bar trivia nights, full stop. Teams of two to six; book via their Instagram.
The Stag Public House
If your idea of a perfect Wednesday involves proving you know more than everyone else at the table, The Stag is calling. One of the best free trivia nights in Adelaide CBD — no bookings required, prizes up for grabs, and an all-Aussie beer and wine list to keep things interesting. Just show up with your sharpest team by 7pm.
299 Rundle Street, Adelaide
151 King William Road, Hyde Park
Brighton Metro Hotel
Funny Quiz is an Adelaide original — serious trivia, hosted by local comedians, with every question written from scratch and a healthy dose of SA flavour baked in. Stand-up and quiz obsessive Jono Makai runs the show every Tuesday at Brighton Metro in the beer garden — easily one of the best pub trivia nights in Adelaide’s south. Register from 6.30pm, questions from 7pm.
466 Brighton Road, Brighton
Bar Lune
The first Wednesday of the month at Bar Lune looks like this: the Lune Laneway, The Weekly Fifty from 7pm, the kitchen open, and a wine list that makes every wrong answer a little easier to accept. One of the most low-key and enjoyable trivia nights in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs — a neighbourhood wine bar firing on all cylinders.
303 The Parade, Beulah Park
Plant 4 Bowden
Adelaide’s biggest free trivia night happens every Thursday at Plant 4 Bowden. Get there from 5pm to sort dinner across the precinct — pizza, Pakistani, dumplings, doughnuts — then settle in for Quiz Meisters from 6.30pm. Flying solo? There’s a community table for that.
5 Third Street, Bowden
