Innes National Park
This is the perfect spot for animal lovers as you’re surrounded by emus, kangaroos and tammar wallabies in the wild; you could even be lucky enough to see dolphins, seals and whales! At just a three and a half-hour drive away there are endless activities and sights, from hiking trails, spotting the multiple lighthouses to simply enjoying the breathtaking scenery.
Yorke Peninsula
Western KI Caravan Park & Wildlife Reserve
Following the devastating bushfires we experienced from late last year, it is more important than ever to support our tourism industry. Kangaroo Island was devastated by these fires but is fighting back while the landscape is breathing life once more.
Located only 10 minutes from Flinders Chase National Park, discover the natural wonders offered by this wildlife reserve and camping ground. They offer multiple options depending on your budget and how you like to sleep. There are luxury cabins for up to seven people and park cabins which are best suited for two, or you can simply rock up in your caravan or pitch your own tent.

Tent on a Hill
Waking up in a sleeping bag on the ground not your idea of fun? Then perhaps glamping may be a better option. Discover nature without having to sacrifice basic comforts just 10 minutes from the beautiful wine region of McLaren Vale. Tent on a Hill is a spacious bell tent complete with a comfy queen-sized bed, with the option of two additional beds if you’re a party of four.

Arkaba Walk
For an experience you won’t forget, take yourself on the five-hour car journey and escape to Flinders Ranges and Outback for a couple of days. As part of Arkaba Walk, you can book yourself in for an escape on one of their timber swag decks. Each deck is elevated with a screen around three sides with the fourth left open to the breathtaking views over the countryside. Your roof is simply the night sky. But don’t worry – the deck has shelter in case the weather decides not to play ball.
Flinders Ranges
Gleeson’s Landing
Really take yourself back to nature by pitching up in one of the many stunning spots in Gleeson’s Landing. Let your hair down and get tangled in the salty air you breathe in from the surrounding beaches. Roughly a three-hour drive away, with 30 spots available to book through the visitors information centre, you'll be left to your own devices for a tranquil escape from reality.
Yorke Peninsula
Kuitpo Forest Reserve
If your ideal hideaway is in the middle of a forest, then you may want to think about pitching a tent in the magnificent Mount Lofty Ranges. A journey as short as 45 minutes out of Adelaide can completely change your surroundings, so embrace your natural wilderness queen. While you’re there, why not try a new activity such as bushwalking or horse riding?

It offers five campsites, striking scenery with hiking and beach options, and a range of amenities for your needs.
