Winter Glamping Goals: Inside Australia’s Incredible Bubble Tents
Disconnect from the noise, reconnect with the sky. These eco-luxe bubble tents in the Capertee Valley are redefining what it means to “get away from it all.”
If cosying up beneath the stars is your idea of a dream winter escape, then we may have just found the next spot on your must-stay list.
One of the most unique overnight stays in Australia, Bubbletent Australia offers a unique opportunity to sleep under the stars in clear and cosy inflatable domes. The off-grid sanctuary is surrounded by the stunning Capertee Valley—which also happens to be the second largest canyon in the world, after the Grand Canyon in the US—and blends ultimate comfort with unparalleled access to the great outdoors.
The bubble tents are nestled on a secluded 1000-acre working farm just a few hours from Sydney—the exact location is kept a secret until you book—and two lavish new tents are taking this glamping experience to even more awe-inspiring heights.

A Revolving Bed Under the Stars
Bubbletree Australia launched its first three tents—Virgo, Leo and Cancer—back in 2017, and recently added two stunning orbs to their portfolio: Pisces and Orphiuchus.
Substantially bigger than their other see-through sisters, the two new tents are as remote as they are ravishing, facing east over the Capertee so guests can be awakened by the very first rays of the sunrise, and an alarm clock made up of the symphony of native birdlife.
Orphiuchus (named after the thirteenth sign of the zodiac) has the added bonus of an elevated treehouse feature so you can also catch the last rays of the day, while Pisces comes with a netted bed strung between three trees for a catamaran-like vibe in the middle of the bush. Pure bliss.
The focal point of both new tents is a queen bed that rotates at the the push of a button, so you can doze off while softly swirling beneath the stars overhead. The bed also comes with built-in tea nooks and breakfast trays, and can also be converted into a ping-pong table should the mood call for something a little more playful.
Both Pisces and Orphiuchus are totally and completely private, and have separate bathroom pods featuring rain showers and eco-friendly, Japanese flushing toilets, both of which are topped with transparent domes so the magnificent, galactic view follows you wherever you go.
An alfresco, Swedish wood-fired hot tub is perfect for soaking under the stars amongst native trees. There’s also an outdoor sofa next to a fire pit, and each tent is equipped with an all-weather outdoor Bushbuck kitchen station that houses a bar fridge, gas burner and rotisserie, pizza stones and everything needed to whip up a romantic dinner for two. There’s also a popcorn maker, sandwich press, marshmallows, coffee and a sliced-bread toaster for all your snacking needs.
Creature Comforts
Every detail has been thought of to make your stay as luxurious as it is stunning, with organic cotton linens and Australian woollen blankets on hand to keep you rugged up and relaxed. From the elimination of single-use plastics to the natural bathroom amenities, everything has been carefully curated so you can focus on the setting and your company without having to also worry about USB chargers, slippers, rechargeable lanterns, and speakers (because, of course, that’s all taken care of, too).
There are minimal distractions here—both when it comes to knowing what to pack and in the literal sense, with the tents’ locations far away from the light pollution of cars, streetlights and skyscrapers.
Designed to make you feel insignificant in the most wonderful way, the two new tents (like their older sisters) are equipped with telescopes so you can explore the Milky Way, and an iPad preloaded with the Luminos stargazing app so you can learn about constellations and go on a virtual tour of the solar system.
The two new tents mark the start of something very exciting for the Bubbletent family, with plans on the horizon for eight more pop-up tents and stargazing tours in a purpose-built facility.
It seems the sky really is the limit when it comes to these out-of-this-world stays.
