With Garigal National Park, Manly, and the expanses of Middle Harbour at their doorstep, families who are lucky enough to find their home along one of the beautiful wide streets tend to stay put, making this a much sought-after area. Living in Seaforth & Clontarf means savoring the water views from their hillside abodes, and locals are particularly spoiled during migration season as they watch dolphins play in the water from the privacy of their own homes. 

The serene parks and bushlands seem worlds away from the bustle of Sydney – Sangrado Bay and Pickering Point remain a local secret, whilst Clontarf Reserve is the backdrop to many waterside weddings. The shaded grassy area, sandy playground, and shallow waters make Clontarf a popular picnic and fishing spot for families. Foreshore walks draw Sydneysiders from all over, be it the renowned Spit Bridge to Manly walk or the much shorter Fisher Bay walk. In the warmer months, kayakers can be seen exploring the secluded coves and bays.

Living in Seaforth & Clontarf provides a close-knit atmosphere with a cluster of shops along Sydney Road offering a few local dining and coffee options, while nearby Warringah Mall serves as the shopping hub.

Middle Harbour

Soaking up the impressive views of yachts and kayaks gliding past on Middle Harbour, or taking their own boats out to explore the secluded bays and coves.

Clontarf Reserve

Clontarf Reserve is where locals and Sydneysiders come to splash around in the shallow waters, and to relax with a picnic under the leafy treetops. Clonny’s on the Beach at Clontarf has a kiosk for casual quick bites.

Walks

The Spit Bridge to Manly walk passes Grotto Point, an historic lighthouse which is locally referred to as the Disney Castle, and is a great spot for bird watching. The walk has many access points for either a short stroll or a much longer hike, depending on your mood and time.

National Parks

Garigal National Park has extensive trails. Hikers can discover native flora and fauna, and walk to secluded beaches and historical sites. Picnic and barbeque facilities are also available.
