Summer Cocktails: Martini with Watermelon & Olive Garnish

In just 30mins, you can stir up a delightful twist on a classic cocktail. AEG ambassador Mark Best’s martini with watermelon and olive garnish is a sure-fire way to brighten up any get-together or BBQ.

Ingredients


30ml dry vermouth120ml gin1 cocktail glass1 cocktail skewer1 small jar of gordal olives1 long bamboo skewers

Method


Cocktail:

Fill a metal shaker with smashed ice.Pour in the dry vermouth (I recommend using Noilly Prat) and stir.Add your preferred gin. Stir briskly for 10 seconds, strain into a chilled cocktail glass. 

Garnish:

Place the watermelon onto a chopping board and cut into 5cm thick slices. Slide the watermelon cubes and olives onto the bamboo stick. Place the skewer into the ice-cold martini.
