Festival season has well and truly kicked off, with 2024 set to be another huge year of music in Victoria.

If you’ve found yourself stuck wallowing in the post-Laneway or Taylor Swift Era's Tour blues, we’ve put together a list of the best festivals, gigs and tours happening in 2024 in and around Melbourne that will be sure to change your tune.

Brunswick Music Festival

Back for its sixth run, Brunswick Music Festival is back in March 2024 with the jam-packed full lineup recently announced.

With international acts Wednesday joining the fun alongside First Nations Yothu Yindi, this year is set to be a good one.

Enjoy the epic Sydney Road Street Party and be sure to catch some of the great acts throughout the week-long event.

Pitch Music & Arts

Pitch #7 returns to the foothills of the Grampians in March, for four full days of music, art, creative exploration and self expression.

Crack out your best festival kit, and get ready to get dusty with a couple of thousand new friends.

Limited tickets are still available, but they’re likely to sell out so get in quick to avoid missing out on this year’s huge lineup of international and local acts.

ChillOut Festival

Celebrate everything wonderful with the LGBTQIA+ community at the annual ChillOut Festival in Daylesford, with a big 4 days of 'Boots and Bling'.

One of the best culture and music festivals in Victoria to experience, this particular event has come from humble beginnings and now sees over 30,000 people joining the fabulous fun with the proud queer community.

From dance and cabaret, drag shows and pool parties to gratitude and foodie events, you will never be far from a good time at ChillOut.

7th - 11th March, 2024

Daylesford, Victoria

Ultra Australia

A day dedicated entirely to EDM and house music is coming to Flemington Racecourse in the form of big and bold Ultra Australia.

Your dancing shoes are bound to get a workout (and so are you) as you jump from one buzzing electric set to the next at one of the best music festivals in Victoria.

Big names Zedd, Steve Aoki and Armin Van Buuren are set to headline, bringing with them hits of nostalgia and nothing but banging beats.

Flemington Racecourse, Flemington

Wine Machine

Music, food and wine celebrated amongst vineyards in some of the most famed wine regions in Australia - sounds like a great way to spend a weekend.

The team at Wine Machine are yet to spill on lineup and dates, but this much we do know - everyone's favourite winery music festival will be back in April 2024!

Coldplay

Though we were told the 2023 Perth concert would be their only one in Australia, fans have been delighted to learn Coldplay will be returning Down Under in 2024, this time treating the East Coast to their brilliance.

Arguably one of the most famous bands in the world, the Brits will be lighting up Marvel Stadium on October 30th and 31st, performing their classic hits and newer tunes.

Join lead singer Chris Martin and the band for a night you will never forget.

Missy Higgins

One of Australia most well-known and loved singers, a night with Missy Higgins will be filled with nostalgia and great music.

Taking over the Canberra Theatre Centre for her Second Act Tour, dance and sing along to Missy's old classics and new hits, as the crowd celebrates 20 years since the release of the iconic debut album 'The Sound of White.'

This show may already be sold out (proving just how much we do love Missy), but you can keep your eyes peeled for resale tickets - something could pop up!

Niall Horan

Any One Direction fans here? Great. You're in for a treat this year, with former 1D heartthrob Niall Horan coming to Rod Laver Arena for not one, but two shows.

The Irish singer-songwriter has spread his musical wings since departing from the iconic boy band, and he has only gone from strength the strength with this music and talent.

Catch him in Melbourne in May this year.

Kita Alexandra

Rising in popularity following an epic collaboration with Australian DJ Fisher for their hit song 'Atmosphere,' there's never been a better time to catch Kita Alexandra live in concert.

Her new album is set to be released in March this year, and her 'Young in Love' tour is making its way around the country, with the second-last show taking place at iconic gig spot the Corner Hotel in Richmond.

Dance along to Kita's boppy beats and enjoy the vibes of the more mellow melodies this April - tickets are still available!

A Day on the Green

When everything gets a little too much, a day away from the city could be just what the doctor ordered. Promising flavoursome food, delicious drops and great vibes, A Day on the Green is levelling up its roster in 2024.

Guarding its title as one of the best music festivals in Victoria for more than two decades, this year will see the Chemical Brothers supported by The Presets and Chris Issak taking over Mt Duneed Estate.

Pack your snacks and sips and kick back with resident DJs between sets. And, if you're really lucky, meet your favourite artists at the signing desk too.
