Holmes Hall

There’s really no place like Holmes!

Taking over the remainder of the heritage-listed former Russo's Supermarket, the newest watering hole of the north is community-focused and a whole lot of fun.

With 20 beer taps, the lineup of local brewers is impressive - Deeds and CoConspirators both make the list.

The cocktails are also stellar - we highly recommend the Basil Sour and an ever so juicy option that comes served in a teapot - perfect for sharing with friends!

It’s a brilliantly designed space, full of quirky features like a Jurassic Park-themed pinball machine and touches of both modern and the old - terracotta and forest green banquettes, a skylight and terrazzo tables alongside exposed brick, speckled floors and original timber beams.

What was once a side Bottle-O called Fizz and Hop is now an additional room that’s perfect for hosting your next function.

They have Tipsy Trivia Wednesdays and Drag and Snag Sundays too!

Hungry diners can feast on an assortment of dishes. There are snacky items like hot fried chicken tenders with ranch, a killer mac n cheese made with four kinds of cheese, and the-always-a-good-idea burrata, served alongside a cherry tomato medley salad and lavosh bread.

Bigger meals are just as good; we highly recommend their epic chicken parma, the Holmes fried chicken burger and crispy skin salmon, served up with ridiculously tasty pickled cucumber.
