Inside The Fit Foodies Elizabeth Bay Apartment

Health and lifestyle blogger, Sally O’Neil (aka The Fit Foodie) has a well-earned reputation for helping women live a balanced lifestyle. After losing 14 kilos by simply learning how to cook from scratch (no diet fads here!), Sally started sharing her favourite recipes – the same meals that she’s always loved but with more nutritious ingredients – on a website with her Mum back in the UK. Little did she know that this was the start of what was to become her very own cookbook, Love Move Eat (Bauer, 2017).

Today, Sally runs a health and lifestyle blog at The Fit Foodie, she’s also a recipe developer, photographer, food stylist, certified yoga instructor, and she has her own line of health food produces, Fit Mixes. And if all this wasn’t enough, Sally is studying a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Medicine and Dietetics so that she can become a Clinical Nutritionist – and she does it all from her home in Elizabeth Bay.

A creative space that gives her balance, Sally’s sundrenched apartment sits high, overlooking the neighbourhood, and is every little bit as chic as she is. We’re invited inside to look around, to see where she cooks, work and have time out from it all. And while there, we can’t help but lust over her gorgeous Chinese coffee table.

Describe your personal style and how has it influenced the way you style your home?

My personal style is relaxed and comfortable. Think washed denim shorts and a cotton white tee. For my home I love natural fabrics, organic colours and shapes that bounce light to make a space feel airy.

“It’s somewhere between Byron Hippy Chic and Pinterest-cool.”

What’syour favourite space in your home?

I think the lounge area with its beautifulChinese coffee table and white linen couch. The windows and light in that spaceare incredible, and there are views down to the water from there too.

Favouritehomeware retailers in Elizabeth Bay?

The antique store on Macleay Street – PottsPoint Vintage – for hidden gems and one-of-a-kinds.

Howwould you describe the stereotypical Elizabeth Bay home?

It’s a mish-mash of art-deco apartments, newerbuilds, free-standing homes and the odd mansion on the water. Elizabeth Bay hasit all.
