Home Tour: Inside Claire Tregoning’s Avalon Home

In the beachside setting of Avalon, where beach cottages and architecturally designed abodes reign supreme, Claire Tregoning’s (of streetwear brand P.E. Nation) home has a stylishly tomboy look, but with an industrial edge – earthy tones, soaring ceilings and bespoke pieces that pair beautifully with Avalon’s laidback beachy vibes.

“My style is very tomboyish, street, lots of denim and made for every day. I also love well-thought-out design, tailoring and linen,” Claire says

“I think you can find all of those elements in our home. Beautiful but comfortable, well lived in and pieces that will last the test of time, and kids!”

Raw, natural materials of timber, concrete and exposed bricks are the backdrop to Claire’s curated collection of furniture and homewares, some of which she has sourced from Mamapapa, Les Interieurs and Boathouse Home – all based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

With so many head turning moments throughout the home, it’s the combined kitchen and dining space that is seriously lust-worthy.

“I love our kitchen, lounge and dining area – it really is the hub of our home and it has a beautiful open feel that is welcoming and inviting.”
