As much as we love going out, there’s nothing we love more than staying in, and we’re always looking to refresh our space and keep up with the latest Australian interior design news and trends. Right now, we’re lusting over Rachel Donath’s first Melbourne flagship in Hawksburn Village, McMullin & Co’s sculptural SILO collection and rethinking everything we thought we knew about sofas thanks to Crafted’s new made-to-order range.
Consider this your edit of what’s happening in Australian homes and interiors right now.
Olive Cooke Debuts First Collection with Double Studio
Elemental marks the first collection from Olive Cooke, created in collaboration with Aussie brand Double Studio. Made from 100% wool pile with hand-knotted and table-tufted construction, the nine-piece collection is inspired by Olive’s own memories and objects from her childhood, drawing on everything from collecting seashells as a child and sandy dunes to oceans and constellations. These personal references are translated into a collection that feels whimsical yet modern, while remaining completely livable. Combining Olive’s creative vision with Double Studio’s expertise, the collection is washable and durable, designed to fit seamlessly into a busy, real household.

Bone Made x BEDSaHEAD Release Époque Collection
Sydney interior design studio Bone Made has collaborated with Australian custom bedhead brand BEDSaHEAD to launch Époque, a collection of five bedheads inspired by the evolution of Bone Made’s creative journey over the past eight years. Named after the French word for “era”, each design represents a different chapter in the studio’s evolution, reflecting the aesthetics, influences and projects that have shaped its work over time. From clean, understated forms to bold, expressive silhouettes, the collection offers a retrospective of Bone Made’s design story, translating its signature aesthetic into a series of timeless bedroom pieces.
Each bedhead is handcrafted in BEDSaHEAD’s Sydney workshop using premium upholstery fabrics from leading international textile houses, bringing together Bone Made’s design vision with BEDSaHEAD’s expertise in custom bedhead design and Australian manufacturing.
MCM House Unveils New Paradiso Outdoor Collection
MCM House knows a thing or two about making laid-back living look very, very chic. Its latest Euro-inspired outdoor collection is giving us all the summer entertaining inspo, bringing the brand’s signature mix of clean lines, natural textures and elegant silhouettes to the backyard, balcony and poolside. Our favourites? These shapely sun lounges, which practically demand a good book, an oversized pair of sunglasses and a freshly made Campari spritz. Cin cin!
McMullin & Co Marks a New Chapter with SILO Collection
Drawing inspiration from brutalist architecture and elemental materials, McMullin & Co’s new SILO collection explores mass, proportion and form, balancing monolithic shapes with soft, sculptural silhouettes. Tactile finishes and timeless materials bring warmth to its distinctly architectural aesthetic, marking a new chapter in the brand’s design language. “The most enduring spaces are shaped by restraint. They are defined not by excess, but by the confidence of a few considered pieces,” says Founder and Creative Director Alice McMullin.
Rachel Donath Opens Melbourne Flagship
After six years of making the internet want very beautiful chairs, Rachel Donath is finally getting a permanent front door. The Melbourne designer opened her first flagship in Hawksburn Village in September, following a short Armadale residency in August. Donath’s sculptural sofas, curving tables, mirrors and objects will all have room to breathe, with the new space catering to design obsessives, private clients and the trade alike. For a brand that has largely lived online until now, this is a very handsome homecoming.
