Try the more unique toppings, including halloumi and potato, prawn & chorizo, triple cheese and roast pork & caramelised apple, or the classics like margherita, funghi and capriccioso.

The pizzas are coeliac-friendly, as the oven is dusted in rice flour. Plus, the pizzeria is the only one in Canberra to be accredited by the APN, Naples (where pizza was actually invented), so you know they know what they’re doing.

Grease Monkey

Craving burgers? Grease Monkey is one of our favourite burger spots in Canberra, and most of its indulgent burger menu is gluten-free. We can’t go past the classic Greasy, which features a beef patty, lettuce, cheese, onion, pickles, GM relish, and Greasy’s sauce, with a side of fries, of course.

The gang at Grease Monkey often pop up to feed hungry souls at festivals and events around Canberra, so be sure to keep an eye on their socials to catch them out and about around town.

You can’t go wrong with anything off the menu, but if we had to choose our top picks, they’d be the Fricken Box: crispy chicken strips topped with special Fricken sauce and served with fries and the Spicy Slaw Burger: crispy chicken breast fillet, cheese, slaw, pickles and sriracha served with fries.

With four locations across ACT, including two food trucks, a Fricken good meal is never far away.

Midnight Bar
Midnight Bar

Midnight Bar

Midnight is one of the newest bars to open in Canberra, and it comes complete with a great gluten-free menu that’s inspired by curiosity and quality. The vibe is sultry, the interior elegant and understated, and the food and drinks are really something special. As far as gluten-free options go, almost all of the small plates are made sans gluten, as are several of the large plates that are designed to be shared.

We recommend ordering the crispy cauliflower with kimchi mayo, the citrus-cured scallops with cucumber lime jus, radish and watercress, and the slow-roast pork belly with corn puree, jus and pork crackling. Finish it off with the gluten-free dark chocolate roulade wih raspberry, vanilla cream and caramelised white chocolate shard, and you’ve got yourself a feast.
