Minutes from the city, Fortitude Valley (aka The Valley) has quite the reputation, thanks in large part to Brunswick and Ann Streets nightlife and creative scene. The Valley is also home to China Town Mall and Bakery Lane – a stylish retail hangout by day and bars and small-scale restaurants by night. A blend of grunge and high-end sophistication, James Street Precinct is all about good food and high-end fashion.

In Teneriffe, people are pounding the pavement from the break of dawn along Teneriffe Walk while across the river much of the riverbank in Kangaroo Point is dedicated to public parks, running tracks, bike trails, kayaking, abseiling and rock climbing.
