The Locals

Affectionately known as “Palmy,” Palm Beach exudes a small-town charm where you know your neighbours by name, the parks feel like an extension of your backyard, and surf clubs are a staple of weekly routines. Living in Palm Beach means enjoying a long expanse of pristine beach that draws locals to immerse themselves in the surf, enjoy off-leash playtime with their dogs, or take leisurely walks along the sand to Burleigh Heads National Park.

Catering to adventurous spirits, Palm Beach boasts sought-after sites for scuba diving and snorkelling, offering firsthand experiences of Queensland’s coral reef and marine life.

On weekends, outdoor venues hum with activity, with favourites like Laguna Park bustling with families enjoying picnics, adventure playgrounds, and picturesque waterside views. Living in Palm Beach also means joining the vibrant community at weekly farmers markets or attending public events such as movies under the stars or live comedy gigs.

It’s no secret that Palm Beach locals are foodies at heart. Alongside its surf life-saving clubs, the Gold Coast Highway and its nearby streets offer boutique bars, restaurants, and cafes serving locally sourced produce and top-notch coffee.

Tallebudgera Creek

Perched on the northern point of Palm Beach, lay a plethora of activities on the banks Tallebudgera Creek. Notorious for being one of the best spots for fishing, here locals and visitors alike enjoy water sports, camping and the facilities of the Tallebudgera Leisure Centre.

Parks and Reserves

Palm Beach loves the outdoors, with favourites such as the Beree-Badalla and Tarrabora Nature Reserves offering a place for serene walks to picturesque lookouts, fishing, kayaking and swimming.

Many who share a love for laidback beach side living reside at Palm Beach, whether it’s young or established families, professionals or retirees.
