The Locals

Claimed to be one of the most beautiful suburbs in Brisbane, Wilston boasts open green surroundings and a friendly, family-centric attitude. Living in Wilston means enjoying a convenient location on the outskirts of the vibrant city—once in, postcode proud locals stay for the long haul. Newmarket Road serves as Wilston’s main thoroughfare, a semi-industrial strip connecting locals through to nearby Newmarket. Just beyond this commercial streetscape, the atmosphere is a complete contrast. Tree-lined streets, traditional homes, and small boutique stores are scattered throughout quiet residential enclaves.

While relying mostly on nearby suburbs for nightlife culture, living in Wilston also offers a handful of popular cafés and notable restaurants. The community gravitates towards Wilston Village on Kedron Brook Road for daily necessities and a weekend coffee fix. Well connected to wider Brisbane, Wilston has good access to bus and train services and key arterial roads leading to Brisbane Airport. Locals also take advantage of the well-considered bikeways that connect commuters to the inner city and outer northern suburbs.
