Brisbane’s Best Happy Hours for After-work Drinks

Happy hours are hard to find, unless you know where to look. We’ve searched Brisbane high and low to find you the best in the city!

Whether you’re looking for something to celebrate that ‘just clocked off' feeling, or trying to find an affordable and fun way to begin your evening, why not hit happy hour? Aptly named to get you into good spirits (figuratively and literally), these are the best of Brisbane’s happy hours across the city.

Fiume

For a room with a view, head to Fiume. With spectacular city and waterfront views, this rooftop bar and terrace also houses a spectacular infinity pool, adding an elevated feel to an already gorgeous location. For a happy hour with a foodie edge, Fiume's daily Spritz  and Spuntino (snacks) special is perfect for a post- work Aperivitvo. Fiume’s cocktail list is nothing short of incredible, so you may find yourself lingering for a couple of extra happy hours of your own.

Hey Chica!

You don't need a passport to visit this part of Cuba. Hey Chica! is a Latin American style social club influenced by the buzz of a traditional neighbourhood street party. Tropical Thursdays is the weekly event where you can make the most of their specials across the bar and boogie from 9pm till 3am.

Archive

It’s hard to walk past the sprawling and high energy presence of Archive without stopping in to see what the fuss is about. Once you’re inside, choose from one of 22 rotating craft beers on tap, play a game of darts or pool, boogie to a live band or simply sink into a squishy couch to enjoy the ambience. From hospo Mondays to cocktail Thursdays, this crafty haunt will keep you well fed and watered every night of the week.

Melrose Restaurant

The Melrose Cocktail Bar plays host each week to Nusa Dua Fridays. From 4pm-8pm each Friday, you can get down to the sounds of resident DJ Varnan while you sip on sunset hour specials.

37 Oxford Street, Bulimba

The Boundary

A bustling local with a foodie edge, this historic pub in Brisbane’s West End has it all – a beer garden, pool room, public bar (plus four more) and a rooftop. A favourite of the after-work cocktail crowd, The Boundary is shaking things up every Thursday with tasty cocktail specials from 5pm. Stick around for dinner and feast on wood-fired pizzas and classic pub plates.

137 Boundary Street, West End

Mr Percival's

It’s no surprise that Brisbane’s favourite overwater bar has an excellent aperitivo hour from 3pm-5pm every weekday offering $12 cocktails. Ideally timed for catching the last sunshine rays of the day, soak up the beautiful views of the city and the Brisbane river.

5 Boundary Street, Brisbane City

Once the buzzing joy of happy hour in Brisbane is over, line your stomach with something a little tastier with some of the best restaurants in Fortitude Valley or the perhaps a fine authentic Italian feast wash down a little better?
