Nestled at the southern tip of South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, the tranquil township of Marion Bay is an unspoiled haven where time seems to slow down.

Surrounded by pristine beaches, this coastal gem offers everything from calm, sheltered swimming spots to scenic surf breaks and the hauntingly beautiful shipwreck of the Norwegian Ethel. Marion Bay also serves as the gateway to Dhilba Guuranda–Innes National Park, a strikingly untouched wilderness brimming with rugged cliffs, native wildlife, and windswept coastlines.

Despite being just a three-hour drive from Adelaide, visitors often describe the town as feeling like a world away.

Each of these options offers a distinct, luxurious experience immersed in nature.

Designed with sustainability at its core, The Sanctuary features a thoughtful blend of reclaimed materials and natural elements, brought together in a calming wabi-sabi style. Interior design and styling were curated by Penny Crompton, resulting in a space that exudes serenity and understated elegance. Local materials and amenities are thoughtfully integrated throughout the property, creating a strong connection to the surrounding environment.

The Bayside Glamping Story: From Humble Beginnings

Founded by Marion Bay local Tiffany Falzon, Bayside Glamping began with a single vision: to offer a romantic, nature-inspired escape unlike any other. In 2017, the original Glamping Tent was established on the edge of Innes National Park. This secluded bell tent, set on a remote property, blends comfort with nature and includes an outdoor kitchen, an indoor bathroom with hot water, and thoughtful amenities for a truly elevated camping experience.

Following the tent’s success, Tiffany introduced the Tiny House, a passion project focused on eco-conscious living. Entirely off-grid, the tiny home is powered by solar energy, uses rainwater, and incorporates a mix of new and recycled materials. While slightly more spacious than the tent, it maintains the same connection to nature and commitment to sustainability.

True Family Affair

What makes Bayside Glamping even more special is its deeply personal roots. Tiffany grew up in Marion Bay with her Maltese surfer father, George, whose property houses the glamping tent. George has been a huge part of the business since its inception. While Tiffany spent some time in Adelaide and Sydney, the beauty of her hometown ultimately drew her back. It was here that she reconnected with Luke, a fellow Marion Bay local and childhood friend. Luke had also returned to Marion Bay around the same time, and together they embarked on this journey. Along with Tiffany’s dad George, they now own, run, and manage all three Bayside Glamping properties, sharing their love for the region with guests.

Unlike their first two properties, what makes The Sanctuary even more special is the fact that it combines influences from all three stakeholders. A mix of Tiffany’s ideas, Luke’s landscaping and George’s lifetime experience on the tools have created the ultimate retreat.

A Location Like No Other

All three Bayside Glamping properties offer guests privacy, comfort, and easy access to everything Marion Bay has to offer. Located just minutes from Dhilba Guuranda–Innes National Park, they are perfectly positioned for both relaxation and adventure.

Guests can embark on an ocean safari with Marion Bay Ocean Safari, explore the scenic Walk the Yorke trail, enjoy a fishing charter with Reef Encounters, or unleash their creativity with a workshop at Studio Surf.

Or simply relax, unwind, and enjoy the natural beauty of the region.

Tiffany and her family also offer a range of optional extras to help tailor each stay to the guest’s desires—ensuring a truly unforgettable experience.
