So, you’ve been handed Christmas party planning duties? A Lebanese feast, two hours of drinks and a DJ should help get the group chat on side.

Zaffi’s Saturday Bottomless Brunch has all the makings of a memorable end-of-year celebration, with very little organising on your part. Starting at midday every Saturday, the $99-per-person experience swaps the usual office lunch for an afternoon of Middle Eastern food, free-flowing pours and a soundtrack worth sticking around for.

Expect a table laden with za’atar flatbread, hummus, tuna fatteh and burrata scattered with hazelnut dukkah, followed by baked lamb flatbread, chicken sambousek, chilli-and-garlic potatoes and fattosh salad. The kind of food that pairs well with constant conversation and frequent sips.

Beer, prosecco, rosé, house wines and the cocktail of the month are all included in your standard two-hour session. Personally, though, I’ll be nudging everyone towards the $20 upgrade, which unlocks endless margaritas. And yes, there’s a non-alcoholic package too, with all the food and none of the booze for just $79 per person.

Zaffi’s Little Hunter Street location makes meeting in the middle easy, while their resident DJ ensures the dancefloor is primed for kick-ons. So, if you have spent the year saying “we should all go out sometime”, this is your sign to finally get a date in the diary.
