Inspired by the Victorian Renaissance era, where afternoon tea was an exquisitely social and grand affair, the Heritage Afternoon Tea brings this tradition to life by offering a menu of reimagined British favourites—with an Aussie twist, of course.
No afternoon tea is complete without the classics. Expect the fluffiest scones served with fresh cream and berry jam and the most more-ish cucumber sandwiches that take you back to simpler times—set against a backdrop of grand infrastructure and Victorian-style architecture. It truly doesn’t get better.
While afternoon tea classics are a must, it’s the bite-sized sweet treats that really steal the show at this themed event. Indulge an exquisite collection of reimagined renaissance favourites, like Neapolitan Ice Cream Verrine, Bakewell Pudding and Apple Charlotte. We’re obsessed with the Malted Milk Envelope that is stamped and sealed with a limited-edition celebratory ‘150-years’ edible stamp—a sweet nod to the GPO’s past as an important communication hub.
For just $78 per person, you can enjoy a Heritage Afternoon Tea, including TWG Tea or Vittoria Coffee. If you want to take it up a notch, you can upgrade to a free-flowing organic Canti Prosecco service for an additional $20.
