Ever since Drive to Survive came out in 2019, the popularity of Formula One has skyrocketed. In fact, almost half a million people attended the Albert Park spectacle during the four-day event last year, breaking records of previous years. More and more people are getting in the sporty spirit and celebrating the fast and furious weekend, and businesses are quickly getting up to speed.
Want a Formula One-filled weekend but not actually attending the race (or simply want some extra activities so you don’t have to pump the brakes)? We’ve curated a list of what’s on during the Australian Grand Prix 2025 weekend in Melbourne, so you can zoom around the city and get close to the action. As the Albert Park gates close, head straight to QT’s rooftop bar and enjoy a sundowner at Club 1959 – the exclusive race-day afterparty that’s on every night during the Australian Grand Prix 2025 thanks to Glenfiddich, official partners of the Aston Martin Formula One Team. LEGO Brick Stop
Formula One ticket holders who double as LEGO fans are in who a real treat this Australian Grand Prix. Stop by the LEGO fan zone while you’re exploring Albert Park, where you’ll be able to ‘build the thrill’ and create your very own LEGO race car, take photos with your creation on a virtual racetrack and check out the full LEGO F1 range! Afterwards, watch your custom build in an animated film and witness your LEGO race car come to life on the big screen, speeding through a dynamic Grand Prix-inspired animation!

Following the success of last year’s collaboration, Masterchef alum Brendan Pang has teamed up with Suzie Q’s Head Chef Stolley for a four-day limited-edition F1 menu to bring some fast-paced fun from the track to the table. For just four days only, this limited-edition menu will take over the Chinese restaurant, promising a fresh take on the dishes Brendan grew up with, as well as next-level dumplings, hand-pulled noodles and umami-packed creations that push the boundaries of contemporary Chinese dining. The set menu is only $66 per person, and with only 10 sittings each night, bookings are essential.

Cult Melbourne gelato brand Pidapipo will be joining the podium of food and drink options available at the Australian Grand Prix. There’s no better way to cool off on a hot day than by making a beeline for creamy, flavourful gelato that’ll satisfy any sweet tooth cravings. And, to make it even more special, Pidapipo has created a range of specialty menu items that will be available to purchase including ‘Banana Pit,’ which is three donuts filled with Nutella, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with banana milk gelato and salted caramel sauce—the perfect pitstop.
