With its pristine line-up of beaches - Scotts Head Reserve, Forster Beach, Middle Beach, and Little Beach, locals lap up life by the water and enjoy everything from surfing and swimming to fishing and kayaking and snorkelling. The village is enveloped by lush greenery and scenic landscapes, fostering a serene environment that promotes relaxation and well-being.

Gaagal Wanggaan National Park, which is in Gumbaynggirr country, is another local wonder. Whether it’s bushwalking, whale watching, or simply connecting with the rich Aboriginal heritage of the Gumbaynggirr people, it’s a truly special place to explore.

While the pace is slow, the perfect position of Scotts Head means the hustle and bustle of the big city are always close by. Situated between Sydney and Brisbane and about a five-hour drive from both capital cities, it’s also five hours south of Coffs Harbour.

Oska and Co is the place to go for the best coffee in town. While Scott’s Hub is considered the best restaurant in the neighbourhood, serving delicious, locally-grown bites. It also doubles as a creative workshop and performance space. The Macksville-Scotts Head Surf Club brings the community together with its live music, weekly Sunday Sips sessions, barbecues, and events throughout the year.

The pace of life in Scotts Head is refreshingly unhurried, allowing residents to savour the beauty of their surroundings and appreciate the simple joys of coastal living.
