THE AREA

An upscale suburb on the NSW Central Coast, Wamberal is known for its beautiful beach, lagoon and waterfront properties. It's Terrigal's quieter next-door neighbour, and is home to families of all shapes and sizes. Still an easy commute to Sydney, it's the perfect getaway from the grind.

Lifestyle

Located in the heart of the Central Coast, Wamberal is all about cruisy coastal living. For locals, life is centred on the suburb's two waterways – the beach and lagoon. Wamberal Beach is beautiful and quiet, and residents make the most of living by the sea, swimming, surfing, fishing, picnicking and relaxing whenever they can. Wamberal Lagoon, which sits just behind the northern end of the beach, is ideal for water sports and bird-watching. For the adventure -seekers, the sprawling Wyrrabalong National Park is a few minutes away, perfect for hiking and exploring on weekends.

Though it's more peaceful than its neighbours, Wamberal has all the amenities residents need within its borders. Ocean View Drive has a cluster of shops, cafés, restaurants and salons, and their beachfront setting creates the town's luxurious yet laidback vibe. There's a strong community spirit in Wamberal and it's reinforced by local institutions like the Surf Life Saving Club, Breakers Country Club and the public school.
