Area Features

Centennial Park

Known as the People’s Park, this 189 hectares of expansive green space is one of Sydney’s gems. A place to picnic with family and friends or get the heart rate pumping by cycling, jogging or horse riding. During the warmer months, you can watch a favourite movie at the Moonlight Cinema.

Centennial Park has an Education Precinct with rangers who help to educate children and adults about the environment, sustainability and recycling.

Shopping

Spreading out over several blocks, a mix of specialty and brand shops vie for the attention of shoppers. Westfield has a commanding presence while Oxford Street is part pedestrian mall which is transformed into an open-air market on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach is busy all year. Surfers can be seen bobbing in the deep blue no matter the weather, festivals can feature on weekends, Bondi Icebergs Pool retains its dominance at the southern end of the beach and migrating whales capture the attention of the crowds on the headlands.

Transport

Situated at the end of the Eastern Suburbs train line, Bondi Junction is well connected, with regular trains departing for Sydney’s CBD. On street level, the busy bus interchange connects locals with the greater Eastern Suburbs area.
