In the heart of the inner west, Ashfield is known for its vibrant multicultural community. It has beautiful parks and heritage walks – strolling the streets is like taking a walk through history. You’ll find everything from grand Victorian mansions to Art Deco homes and modern apartment complexes. Ashfield is a suburb on the brink of a boom.

Lifestyle

Ashfield has a vibrant multicultural community, and foodies refer to it as the Chinatown of the inner west. Liverpool Road is the main commercial precinct – it’s home to a slew of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, including many Asian ones, as well as Ashfield Mall. Charlotte Street, Elizabeth Street and Parramatta Road are also hives of activity, while hubs like Five Dock, Haberfield and Croydon are close by.

The suburb’s proximity to the CBD makes it a professional hotspot, and commuting is easy. The railway station offers express trains to the city – it’s two stops to Central – and there are bus services to Burwood, Bondi Junction and Drummoyne. The airport is a 20-minute train ride away.
