WARRIEWOOD

GET TO KNOW
THE AREA

An outdoor playground, Warriewood is all about sun-loving days. From the rugged coastline to the calmness of the wetlands to the sprawling playing fields, locals take to the wide-open spaces in droves. And with the backstreets leaning towards the quieter side of things, it’s easy to see why families are snapping up many of the area’s new developments.

Lifestyle

Often overlooked in favour of its neighbours – Narrabeen and Mona Vale – Warriewood has been quietly achieving big things, and now, everyone wants a slice of this beautiful suburb. Life in Warriewood is all about enjoying the natural surroundings, taking in the wide-open spaces and family living.

Although small, Warriewood’s coastline packs a real punch – two beaches, headland walks, a blow hole, rockpools and incredible views of the coastline. Warriewood Beach is a popular haunt, but Turimetta Beach, also known as the ‘Secret Beach’, is where you’ll find the locals. Up on the headland walkways lead to lookout points and the Warriewood Blow Hole, while paragliders take to the sky.

Away from the surfing culture of the beaches, the playing fields of Rat Park and Boondah come alive with weekend sports. When Friday rolls around, the popular Beaches Markets with its fresh produce, fashion and homewares, becomes the focal point. The wealth of outdoor space continues with Warriewood Wetlands, a serene place of natural beauty that has bike and walking tracks. The Warriewood Valley Rocket Park playground is a firm family favourite.

As for shopping, Warriewood Square is brimming with two supermarkets and specialty stores – a great place to stock up on weekly supplies. Back from the suburb’s popular spots is the unobtrusive Business Park, which seems to favour home improvements.

And although lacking a good public transport system, Warriewood is well positioned to access the rest of the Northern Beaches.

Neighbours

This is one Northern Beaches suburb that has been slipping under the radar for quite some time, but young families have caught on to all that this evolving suburb has to offer and they have been snapping up the new homes that are being built. Established families and those who have kept this little gem under wraps for quite some time are the foundation of an evolving, yet strong, community.

BEACHES

Warriewood lays claim to two beaches – Warriewood Beach and Turimetta Beach – which are divided by a headland that comes complete with a blow hole. Warriewood Beach, although small, is better equipped for the crowds. Turimetta Beach on the other hand is known as the secret beach and is where locals go to play, especially in the little rockpools.

PARKLANDS

Warriewood Wetlands to the expansive sports fields, there is plenty of room to run around in this neighbourhood. The kids find it hard to go past Warriewood Valley Rocket Park or the rockpools at Turimetta Beach.
