Multi-layered and diverse, Marrickville is a melting pot of cultures with an all-embracing attitude. It’s a foodie hangout, has a vibrant music and art scene, and enviable infrastructure that keeps locals well connected. It’s no wonder everyone is trying to nab their piece of Marrickville.

Lifestyle

One of Sydney’s most intriguing suburbs, bohemian Marrickville simply has it all.

Marrickville’s rich diversity is celebrated throughout the community. There are mouth-watering eateries that cover the full spectrum – Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and Australia, plus a thriving art and festival scene that in many ways put Marrickville on the map – Sydney’s Fringe Festival, Art Month Sydney and the Marrickville Festival.

Bisecting this vibrant Inner West suburb are Marrickville and Illawarra Roads, which are the centre of activity and are also known for street art created by Ces Camilleri of Creative Artistic Steel. But locals aren’t restricted to the main arteries. Marrickville has one of Sydney’s finest café scenes, including establishments that are favoured for their brew, their park-side location or their general vibe.
