Lina Rooftop Fire & Ice

Brisbane’s most popular rooftop bar is once again transforming into a chic winter wonderland, with the arrival of the Fire & Ice event! Cosy up in a private igloo that accommodates up to eight guests, or unwind in the Fire Lounge for an effortlessly elegant evening out.

Your igloo experience promises a mouthwatering experience, with charcuterie, grazing boards, fondue and flaming cocktails all making an appearance. You can even spoil your other half with an exclusive private igloo for two experience, which makes for a date night that will never be forgotten.

Pair your treats with bottomless tea and coffee, or opt to upgrade with a Pretty in Pink cocktail or glass of Veuve Clicquot on arrival.

Clicquot Chalet Winter High Tea

Experience a slope-style high tea this month at the Clicquot Chalet, where the Customs House team have prepared an enchanting high tea selection of savoury and sweet bites. Sip on Veuve Clicquot or a steaming hot cup of French tea whilst nibbling on freshly baked scones and petit fours, all while drinking in the gorgeous Brisbane river views.

Clicquot Chalet Dining in the Domes

Elevate your Chalet Bar experience and dine in the Domes this month at Customs House! This iconic riverfront experience has been upgraded so that you can delight in a shared-style dinner menu. The three-course menu features handmade Vanella burrata, Abrolhos Island scallops with creamed leek and bottarga, Wagyu rib fillet and hand-rolled gnocchi.

$150 per person, for parties of two to six people

The Chalet Bar

If you won’t find yourself in Aspen this winter, the Clicquot Chalet Bar is the next best thing. Snuggle up under a faux fur blanket as you sip on Veuve Clicquot by the glass (or by the bottle). The famous Customs House classic returns to the menu, so be sure to order the popular Moreton Bay bug croissant with lime and dill mayo. You’ll also discover winter-worthy cocktails like the Berries & Bubbles, made with fresh raspberry, lemon juice, Belvedere Pure and Veuve Clicquot.

One of Australia’s largest design conferences returns to the Brisbane Powerhouse this month, gathering together some of the world’s most creative minds for three days of inspiration, thought-provoking conversation and presentations.

West End is best known for its eclectic and diverse array of cuisines and events, and this month is no different with the arrival of the West End Solstice Market.

Cosy up by a bonfire, soak up the live music and explore over 120 stalls of delicious food, quirky crafts and refreshing beverages. There’ll be roving entertainment, kids activities, workshops and plenty more to keep you entertained.

Dopamine Land

A multisensory, immersive experience that has been delighting the world is landing in Brisbane this month! Dopamine Land combines media, technology and playtime into one amazing, colourful and interactive experience that’s bound to boost those happy hormones.

Your session lasts around 50 minutes, and you’ll get to explore interactive displays, have a pillow fight, dive into a ball pit and snap endless photos that make the best memories with your friends and family.

Australia’s National Pet Show

Pet parents, this is one event not to be missed! Australia’s National Pet Show is making its way around the nation, and it’s Brisbane’s time to shine this month!

The event will kick off with an opening party on Saturday, June 1st, with Blak Day Out, a collaboration between Blak Social and The Tivoli. This opening party will celebrate First Nations' excellence, with performances from some of the nation’s most prestigious Indigenous artists, pop-up bars, a silent disco, live art and even some street food stalls to keep you full of food and full of culture.

Brisbane Writers Festival

If you’re guilty of falling deep into a booktok doomscroll, we’ve got the event to snap you out of it! The Brisbane Writers Festival returns to Brisbane this month, with a stacked program of amazing bookish events. This year’s slogan is “Have we got a story for you”, and is guest-curated by Melanie Saward (Aboriginal First Nations) and Lenora Thaker (Torres Strait Islander First Nations). Promising to deliver events spanning every genre, there’s something for everyone on this year’s lineup!

Festa Italiana

The Italian foodie event not to be missed returns in May 2024! Renowned Chef Orazio will once again collaborate with Howard Smith Wharves, to satisfy your comfort food cravings as the weather starts cooling down. Festa Italiana runs over two consecutive weekends, so you have plenty of time to devour the delicious fresh pasta, bruschetta and sparkling spritzes on offer.

Open Season Festival will wrap up the party with Blak Day Out, a collaboration between The Tivoli & Blak Social.

Snack on street food stalls, shake it in a silent disco, shop from some of King Street’s Indigenous retailers and of course, soak up some First Nations excellence, with performances from ARIA-nominated Emma Donovan, hip-hop collective 3%, Velvet Trip, BADASSMUTHA, The Ancient Bloods and more.
