Located just three kilometres south of Perth’s CBD, Victoria Park is one of the state’s oldest and most desirable neighbourhoods. Named after Queen Victoria who was on the throne at the time, this vibrant suburb has become the state’s unofficial food capital as there are few cuisines you can’t find here.
With convenient access to major arterial roads including Great Eastern Highway, Albany Highway and the Causeway leading you directly into the city, Victoria Park incorporates several other suburbs including East Victoria Park, St James, Carlisle, Lathlain, Burswood, Bentley and Welshpool.

MCCALLUM PARK
This beautiful riverside park is situated alongside Taylor Reserve and is directly opposite the city. Sweeping city and river views aside, this wide-open space caters well to the locals with playgrounds, BBQ facilities, walking/cycling trails, exercise equipment, multipurpose courts and a skate park.
BURSWOOD PENINSULA
Many call Victoria Park home because of its proximity to Burswood Peninsula featuring its foreshore with walking/cycling trails, Optus Stadium, State Tennis Centre, water sports, Matagarup Bridge and the Crown Entertainment Complex. This riverside locale is home to many high-end townhouses and apartments with jaw-dropping views of the city, river and Perth Hills.
RAPHAEL PARK
Dating back to a time when elegant homes were often constructed around gated parks only accessible by the residents of the surrounding properties, Raphael Park is bordered by Armagh Street, Washington Street, Geddes Street and Gloucester Street. Established in the early 1900s and graced with Moreton Bay Fig trees and Norfolk Pines, it’s popular for picnics, cricket, soccer and family fun.
READ PARK
Not only does this pretty park have a playground and dog exercise areas, but it’s also home to the Victoria Park Community Garden. Allotments are leased by local residents with small or no backyards to grow their own fresh produce in an urban environment.
VIC PARK MARKETS
Every Sunday morning, the Vic Park Markets run at John McMillan Park selling fresh produce and artisan goods. Running for many years, the markets are a popular haunt for the local community, who also visit for the food and coffee vendors while the kids go mad on the bouncy castle.
