McDowall, a serene suburb nestled in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane, offers a lifestyle defined by tranquility, community, and convenience. The leafy, tree-lined suburb has a lovely, slow village feel but is still just minutes from the Westfield shopping centre in Chermside. Closer by, the McDowall Village Shopping Centre has a Drakes Supermarket, a BWS, a bakery, a chemist, and a medical centre. 

McDowall is one of the youngest suburbs in Brisbane and was only officially named in 1975. Many of its streets are named after famous movie stars, with notable standouts including Brando Street, Bardot Street, and Sinatra Crescent. 

In terms of property, you can expect a diverse offering from modern apartments to larger homes with big backyards and pools. According to realestate.com, the median house price in McDowall from January 2023 to December 2023 was $1,002,500.
