Living in Carindale
The Locals

Conveniently located just outside the bustle of inner Brisbane, Living in Carindale offers a suburban community that boasts the best of both worlds – a lively entertainment and shopping culture, and quiet residential pockets that sit adjacent to generous greenspaces. The Carindale Shopping Mall serves as the primary hub of activity. There is an extensive range of eateries, cafés, grocers, and high-end fashion boutiques along with department store giants, Myer and David Jones.

Away from this shopping mecca, Living in Carindale takes on a much quieter tone and embraces an outdoor lifestyle. Bulimba Creek flows through the suburb, and there is an abundance of parklands, sporting grounds, and bushwalking tracks.

Adjacent to the Gateway Motorway, Carindale has easy access to the coastlines north and south of Brisbane and nearby Moreton Bay and Stradbroke Island. Old Cleveland Road is one of the main thoroughfares, connecting the area to South Brisbane and other south-side suburbs.

Area Features

Parklands

Locals enjoy the generous outdoor amenities, such as the Belmont Hills Reserve, which offers 80 hectares of nature-packed bushwalking tracks, ideal bird-watching locations and picnics spots.

Shopping

Retail is one of Carindale’s best assets, with the Westfield Shopping Centre being home to a plethora of boutiques, department stores, restaurants, cafés and grocery outlets.

Location

Although slightly removed from the inner-city action, Carindale’s public transport and closeness to major motorways means easy access to the Brisbane CBD, the Southbank precinct and the popular north and south coastlines.

The Carindale lifestyle appeals to a slightly older crowd, with a higher proportion of older families and couples taking to the area for its convenience and lifestyle. Retirees are also attracted to the location’s quieter pockets of suburban lifestyle within arm’s reach of retail, dining and medical facilities.
