And although there are times of the year where holidaymakers far outnumber the locals, it doesn’t detract from the enviable year-round outdoor lifestyle all year. Bronzed bodies sporting red and yellow are a fixture on Kurrawa Beach. Quintessentially Australian, the strong Surf Living Saving community patrol this expansive beach, which is renowned for its surf conditions.

Retail therapy is taken very seriously. The Oasis and Pacific Fair Shopping Centres are brimming with stores and eateries.
