New in Beauty: The Skincare, Make Up & Hair Products Worth Trying this Month
These are the new beauty products on the scene worth trying.
Don’t we all love the release of new beauty products – there are many. Below are some of our most recent launches (and also some to keep an eye out for!)
From the creators of the World’s First SPF50 Lip Oil, Naked Sundays introduces two new delish flavours, packed with high performance antioxidants and lip-loving ingredients, making topping up your SPF a breeze.
If you struggle to sleep then this may be the perfect elixir for you. It’s a hot chocolate powder, but full of apoptogenic mushrooms and an exclusive pistachio extract to support sleep, relaxation, immune function, mood balance and your ability to cope with stress and fatigue. Bonus: it tastes really good. So really, all you need to do is mix a scoop into either hot water or milk before bed and your body won’t know what hit it.
Cosmeceutical skincare brand are helping tackle sensitive/sensitised skin with their latest serum, Skin Balance, which is an intensive calming serum designed to be used twice a day to help calm the skin and help with barrier function. Also perfect for anyone experiencing increased itchiness, irritation and/or localised redness through winter.
Another great serum for sensitive skin, QV have added to their simple range with a hydrating serum that’s designed to main skin barrier function while increasing skin’s hydration at the same time. Bonus: it’s full of niacinamide and antioxidants as well so it feels very calming on the skin.
French skincare brand, Caudalie, in partnership with Dr. David Sinclair, a professor of genetics and co-director of the Paul F. Glenn Centre for Biology of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School have discovered an enzyme, named TET (Ten-Eleven Translocation) that helps with age management concerns – sans the irritation and the newly developed Cru Collection is perfect for every skin type. Formulated in combination with powerhouse antioxidant, resveratrol the Crème is the perfect addition to a routine if you want to help fight deep wrinkles, fine lines, firmness, volume, elasticity, dark spots, hydration and radiance.
Available on August 2, Sephora Australia
If you want to be using an effective vitamin C serum but struggle with irritation, then Synergie’s latest release is for you. Formulated with ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, which is a moderate potency, low irritation derivative of vitamin C it’s designed to be well tolerated by all skin types – even those with sensitive skin. Packaged up with other antioxidants including coenzyme Q10, it’ll deliver your skin with potent antioxidants to help fight fine lines and wrinkles, whilst also helping to even out your skin tone and reduce age spots as well.
Renowed luxury Korean beauty brand, Sulwhasoo have re-designed their Essential Comfort Range which is full of hydrating and calming ingredients perfect for dry, acne prone and sensitive skin. Their Balancing Water in particular, is a quick absorbing toner that delivers instant hydration while balancing the skin's oil to water content. Plus, hydration is so important for acne prone skin and this is a great way to add it into a routine.
Batiste have added to their iconic dry shampoo range with new formulas formulated with natural extracts like hemp and coconut milk powder alongside pure rice starch to keep your blow-dry lasting for longer. It’s honestly nice to have options when it comes to dry shampoo so if you’re keen for a more plant powered dry shampoo then this new range is for you. Personally, the coconut milk/hemp seed oil and green tea/chamomile flavours are a fave.
So, we all love Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye don’t we? Well, he has now released his own haircare and it is stocked at our very own Sephora in Aus. It’s the closest we have to getting to this beauty guru and his gorgeous hair, so this is perfect. I’d start with the heat protectant leave in serum.
We all know and love Grown Alchemist, they are the creators of some Australia’s most loved hand and body products – plus their bottles look very chic on a shelf. Well, now they have released recyclable, refill pouches so there’s no need to buy another plastic bottle when you can just refill the one you already own!
If you are after a one and done moisturising step this winter this is it. Laneige have released a whole bunch of new products in their waterbank range which are full of hyaluronic acid, glycerin, antioxidants – you know everything dull or dehydrated skin needs this winter. This moisturiser in particular contains beta-glucan too which means it is extra calming.
The highly anticipated new serum by Go-To Skincare. Honestly, every skin can benefit from a hyaluronic acid serum in their routine and this one delivers. It’s fragrance free, smooths skin, is deliciously thick and plumping, absorbs well and so well priced for a hydrating serum that helps your skin hold onto hydration. Add. To. Cart.
Every skin could do with a little extra oil coming into winter and cult French brand Embryolisse have made that easy for everyone with this newbie. It is a multipurpose oil for your hair, body - and even your face so it can really be used everywhere, and contains shea, pomegranate and apricot oils so is super lush. It also sinks right into the skin without feeling greasy and if you want, I’d mix a couple of drops into your moisturiser for extra nourishment.
Cult skincare brand Youth To The People are releasing a retinal and niacinamide serum in one – because of course they are. A stunning formula that essentially provides age management benefits while reducing skin irritation and calming the skin.
Necessaire at Mecca
Psst. Necessaire are also launching at Mecca in June. You know, the bougie body care brand you see all over Instagram. Well, now it’ll finally be available to shop it in Aus. Get your wallets ready! I’d start with the body wash. Ps. They will make your shower look bougie.
I'd love to live near
