Inside La Porte Space with Hayley Bonham

Synonymous with fashion and luxe, stylist Hayley Bonham is the woman behind fashion PR agency, BONÈL PR and luxury fragrance range Maison D’Amore. An entrepreneur to say the least, Hayley, alongside partner Rory Elsom, founded a luxury workspace and events venue, La Porte Space. Together they transformed an established building in Rosebery into a beautifully designed multiuse creative space complete with a Moroccan-esque courtyard. The result, La Porte Space Deux.

Q&A with Hayley

Tell us a little about yourself and how you got to where you are today?

I’m the Creative Director of La Porte Space and BONÈL PR, as well as a freelance stylist and Co-Director of luxury fragrance house Maison D'Amore. I've worked in the industry for over 10 years in sales, PR and styling.

What is the best ‘I love my job’ moments you’ve experienced?

There are so many to date but launching La Porte Deux was an amazing achievement for Rory and I. We were physically involved in every process from start to finish, to step back and see how much we achieved in the six months it took for the development, it's still hard to take it all in.

Together with your partner Rory Elsom, you created La Porte Space in Rosebery. What was the inspiration behind the concept?

To create a luxury service that is second to none for likeminded industry creatives and innovators. We have a strong Parisian/ European influence with all of our projects and that was a clear point of inspiration when it came time to designing La Porte Deux.

What inspired it and what brands have you used throughout?

The courtyard was intended to provide our creatives with an outlet and inspiring breakaway space that was designed to feel like a Moroccan Riad. We collaborated with Jatana tiles and sourced pots from Europe and a selection from Garden Life.

What is your favourite space in the office and why?

I gravitate towards the meeting room where you feel like you are in a beautiful Parisian apartment, it has a very calm energy in the space. It's hard not to love the courtyard, it's a beautiful part of the space when you want to break away from your desk.

There is a wait list and there is an interview process to make sure we have the right mix of creatives occupying the space.

  • Our first La Porte supper club that we collaborated on with Mr & Mrs Smith.
