Louise Bourgeois

Louise Bourgeois: Has The Day Invaded the Night or Has the Night Invaded the Day? has taken over the Art Gallery of NSW in the very best way. The two contrasting exhibit spaces represent 'Day' and 'Night' respectively with the works expertly depicting the complexity of human relationships. Don't miss this opportunity to view this exhibition, one of the most extensive ever curated in relation to a single international woman artist in Australia. You'll have the opportunity to view multiple works that have never been displayed in Australia, including The Destruction of the Father 1974 and Crouching Spider 2003.

Sitchu Tip: We recommend joining one of the guided tours to delve even deeper into the life, times and works of Louise Bourgeois.

Tickets from $30, available here

A Blueprint For Ruins

A Blueprint For Ruins

White Rabbit may not be the largest gallery in Sydney but is has a well-established reputation for engaging and thought-provoking exhibitions. They've kicked off the first half of 2024 with something pretty special. A Blueprint For Ruins explores the violence that underlies the apparent perfection of progress. Depicting the Chinese buildings and spaces that are being rapidly removed in a race for renewal, the exhibit prompts viewers to wonder what progress means in an age of 'development'.

Free admission

Until 12th May 2024

White Rabbit Gallery, 30 Balfour Street, Chippendale
