Murray Street Vineyards

For hand-crafted wines from the Barossa Valley, look no further than Murray Street Vineyards. Since 2011, it has grown to become one of the largest family-owned estates in this essential Australian wine region, with a reputation for producing outstanding artisan wines.

On a visit to the region, head to Murray Street's Greenock Estate, which lies in the Barossa Valley's highly sought  after Western Ridge. It plays host to a tapestry of some of the oldest soils in the world, with a reputation for producing intensely flavourful grapes. Greenock Estate pays homage to the Barossa Valley’s architectural heritage, with its hilltop five peaked silhouette reminiscent of an earlier age. Bethany Wines

With some of the oldest vines in the Barossa, Bethany Wines has special place in the region’s winemaking story, with the original vineyard first planted back in 1852 from cuttings carried from Europe.

Cut to 1981, when fifth generation brothers Robert and Geoff established Bethany Wines as it is today. They built a winery in the quarry where the early pioneers had hewn stone for their homes. Today, Bethany Wines’ reputation for hospitality and spectacular views of the Barossa continues to grow, and a visit to the stunning cellar door involves some excellent tasting opportunities, with a picnic platter included that's able to be packed into takeaway containers upon request. Kaesler Wines

A visit to Kaesler Wines is more than just about the wine, it is a place to immerse yourself in the history of Barossa wines in general. Originally the Kaesler family farm, the property is now home to 60 hectares of vineyards, a cellar door and accommodation within the Kaesler Cottages. Open seven days a week, their old vine vineyards, established gardens, historical buildings, tours, tasting and events offer a unique experience for both individuals and larger groups. Experience quintessential Barossa with a tasting in their cellar door, brimming with charm and five star wines. Warmer days can be spent on the surrounding lawns, shaded with trees and parasols.

Alkina

Indoor and outdoor settings accommodate everyone from couples to larger groups for tastings of structured flights accompanied by cheese and charcuterie.

Extra hungry? Groups of 10+ can book Alkina’s Kitchen Garden Lunch on a weekend at $70 per head. Creative seasonal dishes are prepared from their kitchen garden, along, as well as impressive share plates, cheeses, charcuterie and local sourdough.
