8 Underrated Beauty Products & Treatments You Need to Try for Yourself

From laser procedures to make-up finds, these are the completely underrated beauty products and treatments you should check out for yourself.

While everyone loves a beauty recommendation, there are still many products and treatments that are extremely good – but tend to go under the radar. So which ones are always on high rotation in my stash that need more airtime? Let’s discuss below.

Underrated Beauty Products

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid SPF

While SPF is having a moment, and there are many great options on the market now. You do know that you can get any SPF from the chemist, and it can work just as well as some other options too? If your budget doesn’t allow to spend big on this step, try La Roche Posay’s Anthelios formulas. They’re great under makeup and work on most skin types.

Byredo Velvet Haze

There are many Byredo scents that are insanely popular, but Velvet Haze is one that tends to fly under the radar - but is probably my favourite from the lot. It’s spicy, woody and sweet – without being too floral. (Also I don’t like to talk about it too much because I don’t want everyone to start wearing it, so shhhh.)

Nudestix – Picante

Yes, we know Nudestix make great cream blushes, but the shade Picante has just landed in Australia – and it is an orange shade that every face needs. Orange blushes are having a moment too and there is no need to be scared of them – this one blends in so easily and leaves cheeks with a natural flushed looking glow.

Shiseido Eyelash Curler

OK so we all know about everyone’s holy grail eyelash curler (Shu Uemura). However, we all also know that that product doesn’t come with replaceable rubber pads – so once they break you need a whole new curler. On the other hand, the Shiseido Eyelash Curler is just as great – I can’t tell the difference! Plus, the pads are replaceable. So when they’re done you don’t need to buy an entire new curler! Win.

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick: Bitch Perfect

I know everyone goes nuts over the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick shade – it is a great pinkey, nude. However, if you’re after another nude shade recommendation, then you need to get your paws on the shade Bitch Perfect. It’s not as pink, a little more neutral and better for medium skin tones.

Underrated Beauty Treatments

Laser Hair Removal

While laser hair removal has now been around for years, it still baffles me when people say they haven’t tried it. And while, yes people with lighter hair may encounter some issues as it’s better suited to darker hair. Technology is changing rapidly, and many devices are now catering for all hair types and skin types too. It will change your life – trust me.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels have come a long way since Samantha brunt her face off on Sex and The City. There are many different depths, types and there are even non-acid based peels which are better suited to sensitive skin types. They are my favourite treatment in clinic and one that you should not be scared of – when done correctly by somebody who is properly trained.

LED Light Therapy

LED light therapy treatments are for everybody, every skin type and for every concern. You can pop into clinic and do one on your own or combine them with another treatment. There is no downtime, they reduce inflammation, are great for hormonal acne, ageing and are a great way to keep skin health in check.
