If downing a couple of cold ones is what you had in mind on Australia Day, the Charming Squire is the best place for it. Opening from 11am with a barbecue kicking off on the terrace at midday, you can enjoy live entertainment and limited release beers whilst enjoying a laidback and true blue Australia Day event.

Warm up for the public holiday with a weekend full of activities at Victoria Park Bistro. The 18-hole putt putt course and driving range gets our recommendation and there’s plenty of activities for the whole family with a jumping castle, giant games, a magician and live music.

The classic Sandstone Point Hotel festivities are back this Tuesday 26th January with lamington eating contest, a fifty metre slip ‘n’ slide, kangaroo relays and more! With plenty of food stalls and entertainment available to keep you occupied, this is an Aussie Day easily well spent.

The Emporium Hotel is never one to miss out on a special event and this year is no exception! With incredible cocktails featuring iconic Aussie treats such as Weis Bars, Fantales and pavlova, you can delight and surprise your tastebuds. Leave some room for your savoury palate too, with barbecue plates of lamb and grilled prawns on the menu as well.

Celebrate Aussie Day a little early, with something noice, something different. Kath & Kim’s Aussie Drag Brunch will be hosted at the beautiful Cloudland venue, so prepare to be entertained by your hosts BeBe Gynn and LuLu Lemans as well as some special VIP guests. Your booking is all inclusive, with a two hour Italian-inspired brunch and drinks package (think mimosas, sangria, spritzes and bloody marys).

Keen to sail a tall ship but not so keen on the wide open waters? Find the perfect happy medium with the Twilight River Cruise this Australia Day. The Sail Training Association is hosting a special event where you can be as involved in the sailing process as you like, or simply sit back, relax and enjoy some BYO snacks while you soak up the views.

A fun event for the whole family, led by the local community is happening this Tuesday 26th January, 2021 at Booker Place Park. Enjoy kids activities such as slides, swings, jumping castles and more, food vans and Aussie-themed competitions to keep you busy all day long. Spend your Australia Day at the iconic Story Bridge Hotel, who are hosting a true-blue Aussie event! With a carpark party, all day live entertainment, Aussie themed food and drinks and a best-dressed competition, if you like to have a good time… this festival is the place to be! Your ticket includes a drink upon entry and a donation to Youngcare, who assist young Australians with disabilities access suitable housing.
