Palm Cove Accommodation: Tour this Stylish, Tropical Beach House

A luxury holiday home in far north Queensland embraces the tropics and year-round summery vibes.

94 Northhouse

Bounded by the lush tropics of Macalister Range National Park and the coral sea, Palm Cove is a tropical paradise that graces many a postcard. A palm-fringed esplanade and a relaxed village filled with boutique shopping and global eats. It's a holiday-goers paradise, which is why Melinda and Glenn have created a beach house with a contemporary tropical vibe – fitting of far north Queensland and its lustful lifestyle.

Designed to take full advantage of the tropics and the balmy lifestyle, Melinda and Glenn bought the villa as a holiday home for when travelling up north and to share with others.

"From the moment we arrive, we feel like we are wrapped in luxury. Our private villa is spacious and light-filled with bespoke features that bring the outside in," explains Melinda. "The beautifully designed pool and patio provide such a unique style of living that allows for entertaining or private tranquil evenings."

THE LOOK & FEEL

Fresh modern interiors with lush greenery and timber furnishings, 94 Northhouse makes the most of its tropical surrounds. And although the sandy beaches are within easy reach, there's very little reason to leave with an outdoor space that combines a dipping pool with a relaxation deck.

"For us, the sheer white curtains, jute rugs and wooden finishes give the home a true coastal style – a style that we love and is so reflective of the area," says Melinda.

THE HOUSE

Set within an exclusive estate in Palm Cove, 94 Northhouse was made for year-round summer vibes. Open plan living, kitchen and dining seamlessly flow onto the deck and pool area through bi-fold doors. The three-bedrooms, minimal in styling, yet with a quintessential boho coastal vibe with timber-framed beds, textured pendants lighting and bedding, while the artwork nods to Palm Cove's coastal lifestyle. The back pavilion has two of the three bedrooms and a beautiful rustic bathroom with a free-standing bath sitting between a panel of glass that takes in a private view of the tropical outdoors.

"The macrame and jute material used throughout gives the home a fresh, boho appeal. And the living plants give a tropical vibe," explains Melinda. "Yet, the living room is our favourite space in the home, distinct for its open view of the property, overlooking the pool and beautiful timber deck. A tall fig tree sits in the corner of the room and displays large hanging green leaves."

GET THE LOOK

"Combine tropical and coastal design using indoor plants. Sheer curtains provide shade but allow soft sunlight, and furnishings in a neutral colour adds character without taking away from the overall style," says Melinda.
