The lovechild of two prominent South Australian winemaking families, the estate offers some of the truest expressions of the region's varieties as well as inspired dining. Spanning 25 hectares, the vineyards are some of the highest in the Adelaide Hills providing the perfect terroir to produce its renowned cool-climate drops. Known as one of the best wineries in the Adelaide Hills, the tasting room is open daily from 11 am-4 pm and if you’re looking for seasonal, locally-focused dining, lunch at the restaurant is a sure-fire winner.

This family-owned boutique winery specialises in punchy, cool climate wines with a sustainable outlook. Nestled within the rolling Adelaide Hills, Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard sets an example of a winery serving up exceptional meals, created from only the finest local produce. Arrive on the weekend to sample some of their iconic single-vineyard wines (the Pinot Noir Rosé is a must) and stay for an intimate dining experience at their hatted restaurant led by head chef Adam Bowden.

Set aside a good few hours when dropping into this family-owned winery. Their cellar door provides tutored tastings and has wines you can’t drink anywhere else, including their late releases and cellar museum selections. The farm to table restaurant, The Gallery, champions ingredients from their kitchen garden and local growers, or if you’re short on time, taste their olive oil or cheese and antipasti during your tasting. They also host concerts and sell luxury designer accessories.

Their opulent winery is located in Hahndorf and boasts an amazing restaurant, award-winning wines and beautiful timber outdoor decking. This chic weatherboard cellar door in Woodside in the Adelaide Hills accompanies the state of the art winery and vineyards superbly. The converted farmstead offers a fine wine experience with each of their wine flights served with accompaniments of local produce tasting boards. Choose from their infamous Croser sparkling wine flight, Chardonnay flight or Yellow label flight. Whilst there pop inside the tasting rooms and count how many wine glasses hang from the ceiling.

It boasts lush gardens, a landscaped terrace and a family-built sandstone barn. The barn itself was previously a farm shed, a wine yard workshop and a family home, but nowadays it’s set up as a fabulous tasting room and market kitchen restaurant where you can settle down to a delicious drop and moreish menu that’s designed to be shared.

On the edge of historic Hahndorf Village, Hahndorff Hill is not one to shy away from the town’s German roots. They make Austrian varieties, Gruner Veltliner, in four different styles, and their tasting experiences have won them several awards.
