Billykart

Okay, you might have been to Billykart already. But it’s one of Brisbane’s best brunch spots, so it had to make the cut. With two locations, you can choose to hit the inner suburbs at Billykart West End, or keep it suburban at Billykart Kitchen in Annerley. Either way, you’re guaranteed a fresh and flavoursome breakfast, that’s also a little bit fancy. Our pick is the housemade crumpets, served with honeycomb butter.

Set in the charming suburb of Graceville, Goodness Gracious is a long-standing favourite for the local neighbourhood. Serving up a full and ever-changing menu of creative meals that fuse flavour and style, they also boast a fully stocked cabinet of baked goodies (including a whole row of gluten-free delicacies). GG is the perfect place to catch up with a friend you haven’t seen in months, and to linger over a latte. Bring your pooch - puppies are very welcome!

Bowen Hills has a new foodie addition - veg style! Plant Vibes is Brisbane’s newest vegan breakfast and lunch spot, in a beautiful and bright location with the most gorgeous decor. Natural fibres, pink hues and the coolest prints are at every turn. We came for the Black Forest Waffles and stayed for the ginger spritzers.

Wild Canary Bistro

In the very beautiful suburb of Brookfield, the Wild Canary Bistro is a botanically minded bistro situated within the Brookfield Gardens. Meaning, you can shop the luxurious home, garden and decor items once you’ve eaten your fill! Serving Allpress coffee and an interesting menu (camel milk pannacotta, anyone?), this is certainly a step away from your usual city cafe. They’re also famous for their cakes, so make sure you bring your sweet tooth.
